These terms govern your use of the DeluxeXchange website and the enquiry and appraisal service offered through it. By using this site you agree to them.

What this website is

This site describes our service and lets you send us an enquiry. Nothing on it is an offer to buy, a valuation, or a price quotation. An offer for your items exists only once one of our specialists has physically examined them and stated a figure to you directly.

Appraisals and offers

• Appraisals are free and carry no obligation. You are never required to accept an offer.
• Any indication of value given before a physical inspection — including anything based on photographs you send us — is preliminary and may change once the item is examined.
• Offers reflect the metal’s purity and weight, the condition and style of the piece, and prevailing market rates at the time of the offer. Precious metal prices move, so an offer is valid only for the period we state when we make it.
• Complimentary in-home evaluations are subject to availability, location and our own conditions, which we will confirm with you in advance.

Your items and your right to sell them

By offering an item to us you confirm that it is yours to sell, that it is free of any lien or encumbrance, and that you are legally entitled to dispose of it. We may require proof of identity and of ownership before completing a transaction, and we may decline any transaction at our discretion.

Payment

Where an offer is accepted, payment is made by EFT or in cash, as agreed with you at the time. Once payment is made and the item transferred, the sale is final.

Using this website

Please do not submit information that is untrue or that belongs to somebody else, attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the site, or use automated tools to submit enquiries. We may restrict access where we believe the site is being misused.

Content and intellectual property

The text, images, branding and design of this site belong to DeluxeXchange or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission. Google reviews shown on this site are the words of their authors and are displayed as published; we do not edit them.

Availability

We aim to keep this site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or withdraw any part of it at any time.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or from reliance on any preliminary indication of value given before a physical inspection. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
